Happy Bodies Lifestyleclubs is a highly successful player in the fast-growing market of so-called “boutique fitness clubs”.

Thanks to our years of experience and strong market insight, we have managed to launch a number of very profitable clubs in a short period of time. Building on this success, we want to accelerate our growth by further expanding our proven total concept through a franchise formula.

A nice bonus is that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel and we receive full support from the entire franchise system. Everyone shares the same goal and is fully committed to it. All in all, it was a great choice we made.

The team at Happy Bodies showed complete commitment to me throughout the process and provided support. It truly felt like a joint effort! On Monday evening, right after our opening weekend, we had already registered 122 new members with a one- or two-year subscription. Truly unbelievable.

Frequently asked questions about Happy Bodies Franchise

What is Happy Bodies' mission?

Happy Bodies aims to achieve national coverage, so that we can help everyone in the Netherlands become and stay fitter and more vital. And at the same time offer an alternative to the “normal” gym in an accessible setting.

Why Start Your Own Happy Bodies?

  1. Happy Bodies is a distinctive fitness concept. The alternative to the ‘normal’ gym. For anyone who does not want to train for hours in a weight room, but prefers to exercise in a pleasant, luxurious setting.

  2. Support: Happy Bodies Backoffice handles all member administration, marketing, and sales training so that you are completely unburdened in that area and can fully focus on your core business: guiding your members at the club!

  3. Scalable concept: The Happy Bodies concept is a hard franchise model. Once you have one location, any subsequent clubs can be set up relatively quickly and in the same way.

  4. One of the fastest-growing circle boutique concepts in the Netherlands.

How does Happy Bodies differ from other Milon / Circuit clubs?

Happy Bodies was born from a clear vision and years of experience by seasoned entrepreneurs in the fitness industry. As a result, processes, partners, and products have been carefully and professionally brought together. The power of collaboration and mutual reinforcement flows seamlessly from this.

Happy Bodies also targets an ever-growing demographic: less active (35+) athletes! This market is constantly expanding, and thanks to the small-scale nature of our unique concept—combined with optimal safety—it perfectly meets the (growing) market demand.

What is the minimum amount of equity I need to open a club?

You need a minimum of €75,000 in personal equity (starting capital). Most franchisees subsequently choose an additional loan and/or crowdfunding to cover the remaining amount. Investing entirely with your own funds is, of course, also possible.

A premium boutique club of Happy Bodies requires an investment of around €250,000.00. This includes costs such as renovation, interior design, and startup losses. The equipment can be brought in via a lease construction, in which we guide the process.

How long does a franchise agreement last?

Happy Bodies strives for a long-term, sustainable, and, above all, enjoyable partnership with its franchisees. The term of the agreement is 5 years, with subsequent renewals of 5 years each.

Of course, it is important for both parties to have clearly and transparently outlined all aspects of the collaboration from both perspectives before the collaboration begins.

What kind of support can I expect from Happy Bodies?

Before the doors of your new Happy Bodies lifestyle club open, the entire team receives comprehensive training from the Happy Bodies Academy in lead follow-up, sales, marketing, management, the communication tools to be used, and the Milon concept. At the opening (opening weekend), some of the best sales professionals within Happy Bodies are deployed to work with your team to ensure a flying start. This is followed by bi-weekly consultations with the regional manager, who closely monitors all processes and makes adjustments where necessary.

Every 6 to 8 weeks, consultations take place between management and the franchisee. Once a quarter, there is a meeting with all franchisees collectively. And last but not least: we are continuously working on concept development, which you as a franchisee naturally benefit from!

What does Happy Bodies' revenue model look like?

If you’re seriously interested in speaking with us, we’d naturally like to learn a little more about you first. You’ve already received our Inspiration Brochure. As soon as we receive the intake form, we’ll contact you (by phone). Based on that conversation, we’ll determine whether or not to schedule a follow-up meeting on-site.

First, you’ll receive an NDA 1 (non-disclosure agreement), based on which we’ll send you an abridged manual and a calculation tool. This will allow us to work together in a follow-up process to fill in some key figures based on your situation.

If both you and we are interested enough to want to start working together, you’ll sign a second NDA. You’ll then receive the complete Happy Bodies Franchise handbook, and by that point, you’ll have received all the information you need from us to develop your own business plan and revenue model.

Does Happy Bodies have locations I can choose from, or do I have to find one myself?

Happy Bodies obviously has a view of the “white spots” in the Netherlands where there are still opportunities to start a successful lifestyle club. Usually, a franchisee already has a location in mind.

Based on our criteria we look at whether the location is really suitable. A good location is "key" so we look at it critically.
