Zo helpt het het risico op andere veel voorkomende (ouderdoms-)ziekten te verminderen. Denk daarbij vooral aan klachten rondom de stofwisseling: overgewicht, hoge bloeddruk, verhoogd cholesterolgehalte en een hoge bloedsuikerspiegel. Door regelmatig krachttraining te doen, zul je je niet alleen sterker, maar ook energieker voelen.
